SIDE STAND
A very important part for a motorcycle as it supports the bike to stand when static, it is very important for the side stand to be well oiled and functional as an anomaly in the functionality of a side stand can result in falling off the motorcycle.
It is a single leg that simply flips out to one side, usually the left side, and the bike then leans against it. Side stands can be mounted to the chainstays right behind the bottom bracket or to a chain and the seat stay near the rear hub.
The side stands and the shoe which provides a larger surface are both beneficial in an extended or pivoted open position and supports the vehicle on one side only, leaving both wheels in contact with the supporting surface, and are mostly made from aluminum and other strong metals to support the whole bike in one vocal point.
