Key Features
SlimLink Mounting Technology: Combines magnets with a mechanical lock for secure attachment to Peak Design mounts – won’t detach from vibrations or bumps like magnetic-only systems.
Integrated Fabric Loop: Provides wrist-strap security and one-handed grip without adding bulk, detachable when not needed.
Nylon Canvas Construction: Durable textured exterior resists abrasion and provides better grip than slippery plastic cases, particularly useful with gloved hands.
Wireless Charging Compatibility: Thin profile maintains full Qi wireless charging and MagSafe functionality without case removal.
Use Case Scenarios
- Navigation mounting on motorcycles – SlimLink prevents phone loss on rough roads while allowing instant one-hand removal
- Quick phone access during rides – Loop enables secure grip when checking maps or answering calls at traffic stops
- Action photography from the bike – Secure mounting for capturing ride footage or scenic stops without fumbling with generic holders
Why Choose the Mobile Everyday Case for iPhone 13?
- Only case system using both magnetic and mechanical lock – magnetic-only mounts can fail on Indian road conditions
- Integrates with Peak Design’s full mounting ecosystem including handlebar mounts, tripods, and wall mounts
- Low-profile design adds minimal bulk compared to heavy-duty cases while maintaining drop protection
- Loop system provides wrist security without permanently attached lanyards that tangle with riding gear
Pros & Considerations
Pros:
- SlimLink dual-lock system is significantly more secure than magnetic-only mounts on vibrating motorcycles
- Nylon canvas texture provides excellent grip even with riding gloves
- Maintains full wireless charging and MagSafe compatibility unlike thicker rugged cases
Considerations:
- Requires Peak Design mounts for full functionality – not compatible with standard phone holders
- Less impact protection than heavy-duty cases designed for extreme drops, though suitable for typical riding scenarios
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does SlimLink differ from regular magnetic mounts?
A: SlimLink combines magnets with a mechanical twist-lock mechanism. You align the phone magnetically, then twist to engage physical locks. This prevents detachment from vibrations, unlike magnetic-only systems that can fail on bumpy roads.
Q: Is this case compatible with wireless charging and MagSafe?
A: Yes, the case maintains full Qi wireless charging compatibility and works with MagSafe chargers. The SlimLink system is positioned to not interfere with iPhone charging coils.
Q: What Peak Design mounts work with this case?
A: All Peak Design Mobile mounts including the Motorcycle Bar Mount, Out Front Bike Mount, Car Mount, Tripod Mount, and Wall Mount. The SlimLink interface is universal across their ecosystem.
Q: Can I remove the Loop attachment?
A: Yes, the Loop slides into a dedicated anchor point on the case and can be completely removed when not needed. It does not interfere with wireless charging when attached.
Q: Will this case protect my iPhone 13 from drops?
A: The case provides drop protection with raised edges around the screen and camera, plus a TPU bumper for shock absorption. It’s designed for everyday protection rather than extreme rugged use – suitable for typical riding scenarios but not as protective as military-grade cases.
