AGV K1 S Soleluna 2017 Gloss Black Yellow Full Face Helmet

MotoGP Heritage for Riders

The AGV K1 S Soleluna 2017 Gloss Black Yellow Full Face Helmet represents a comprehensive approach to rider safety, combining advanced impact protection technology with everyday comfort features. Engineered for both casual commuters and serious enthusiasts, this helmet delivers the performance characteristics necessary for Indian riding conditions – managing heat, humidity, and varied traffic scenarios with equal effectiveness.

Whether you’re navigating dense city traffic, embarking on long-distance highway tours, or exploring weekend backroads, the K1 S provides consistent protection, comfort, and visibility. The helmet’s design reflects years of research into rider safety and comfort preferences, making it a trusted choice across diverse riding styles and skill levels.

Why Riders Choose the K1 S

Multi-Layer Impact Protection System

The multi-density EPS liner works in conjunction with the reinforced shell to absorb and distribute impact forces across a wider area. This redundant protection system significantly reduces rotational forces during oblique impacts, providing comprehensive coverage for various crash scenarios.

Thermoregulation and Ventilation

Advanced ventilation channels direct airflow across key areas of the head, helping manage temperatures during extended rides in high-heat conditions. Moisture-wicking interior materials combined with strategic air intakes and rear extractors maintain consistent comfort regardless of season.

Ergonomic Weight Distribution

Careful engineering places protective materials and structural components to minimize neck strain during long rides. The balanced weight distribution reduces fatigue, allowing riders to maintain focus and control for extended periods.

Noise and Wind Resistance

The shell design includes features that reduce wind noise and buffeting at highway speeds. Lower noise levels mean less rider fatigue and improved communication capability, particularly relevant for group rides and highway touring.

Secure and Adjustable Retention System

The retention strap provides a secure fit while remaining adjustable for different neck sizes and riding positions. The locking mechanism stays engaged under crash forces while remaining comfortable during regular use.

Visor Optical Quality

The polycarbonate visor material provides optical clarity without distortion, critical for spotting hazards and maintaining situational awareness in traffic. Anti-scratch coatings extend visor lifespan through daily use.

The Rider’s Experience

From the moment you put on the K1 S, the ergonomic design becomes apparent. The snug fit creates a sense of security without excessive pressure, and the removable padding conforms gradually to your head shape over the first few rides. The interior materials feel premium and remain comfortable through extended use – a critical factor for Indian riders who often spend hours navigating variable traffic conditions.

On the road, the helmet’s ventilation keeps your head cool during monsoon commutes and hot season touring. The moisture-wicking liner prevents sweat buildup that can cause discomfort or distraction. Wind noise at highway speeds remains minimal, and the aerodynamic design means you won’t experience significant helmet shake or buffeting even at higher velocities.

The visor provides exceptional forward vision with minimal distortion. Lateral visibility is comprehensive thanks to the helmet’s proportioned design. In bright conditions, the anti-scratch coating maintains optical clarity, and the tool-free visor removal allows you to swap between clear and tinted visors without stopping.

Riders upgrading from entry-level helmets immediately notice the difference in comfort and protection engineering. The K1 S feels lighter than its actual weight due to balanced weight distribution, and the secure retention system gives confidence in all riding scenarios – whether stationary in traffic or carving through backroads.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the main benefits of choosing a full-face helmet?

Full-face helmets offer the highest level of protection. Because they feature a solid, integrated chin bar, they protect your entire head, face, and jaw in the event of an impact. They also provide the best aerodynamics, weather protection, and noise reduction compared to other styles.

How tight should a full-face helmet fit?

It should fit snugly around the crown of your head and your cheeks without causing painful pressure points. When you shake your head, the helmet shouldn’t wobble or slide. Keep in mind that the cheek pads will compress and break in slightly after a few hours of riding.

Will a full-face helmet get too hot in the summer?

Modern full-face helmets are designed with advanced ventilation systems. Look for helmets with adjustable intake vents on the chin and forehead, and exhaust vents on the back, which pull hot air out and keep you cool even in warmer weather.

Maintenance & Care Guide

Regular Cleaning

Clean the helmet exterior weekly with mild soap and lukewarm water. Use a soft cloth to avoid scratching the shell. Dry completely before storage. For the visor, use only soft microfiber cloths to maintain optical clarity and anti-scratch coating integrity.

Interior Padding Care

Remove the interior padding and wash monthly (or more frequently in hot/humid conditions). Use gentle soap and warm water. Air dry completely – never use direct heat sources. The padding should be fully dry before reinserting to prevent moisture-related issues.

Visor Maintenance

Keep the visor clean for optimal visibility. Minor scratches are normal with use. If scratches accumulate and affect vision, consider replacing the visor. Check the anti-scratch coating regularly and replace if significantly degraded. Shop dedicated visor cleaners at Custom Elements.

Storage Best Practices

Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, which can degrade shell materials and interior padding. Avoid storing in hot vehicles or in direct UV exposure for extended periods. Use a helmet bag or case to protect against dust and minor impacts.

Inspection Schedule

Visually inspect the helmet monthly for cracks, dents, or loose components. Check that the retention strap is secure and the visor locks properly. If you notice any structural damage, discontinue use and replace the helmet – internal protection may be compromised.

When to Replace

Replace your helmet after any significant impact or crash, even if external damage isn’t visible. Also replace after 3-5 years of regular use, as EPS foam gradually loses effectiveness over time. Check the interior label for the manufacturing date if unsure of helmet age.
