RYNOX STORM EVO 2 RIDING GLOVES

Gloves! One of the bare essentials when riding a bike. A lot of times even when people do not wear a jacket or pants . Gloves are still worn. Maybe for a style statement but also in case of a fall it’s the palm that is one of the 1st body parts to take impact. Also a good glove helps grip the throttle better. 

Ideally a way to check the fit is , obviously, a glove that fits your hand. Soooooo, according to size. Next one, you wear the glove, check the fingertips, if the glove is too tight, check if the material is stretchable. Best way to find this is, to grip your wrist as if you were gripping the handle of your bike or if you have taken your bike a long or have a bike or scooty nearby you can use that. So when you grip the wrist \ handle the tips of the finger and gloves have to meet. Or if they already meet the material has to stretch on curling the fingers. There shouldn’t be much pressure. Also you have to be comfortable in this process. Certain materials don’t suit certain skin types so check that too. Know your purpose. 

Today we will look at the Rynox Storm Evo 2 gloves.
The Storm Evo 2 is a successor to Rynox’s Inferno Pro Gloves. They have made it more nimble and light weight. 

The FIT:-

This is the 1st glove in the Rynox line up that is a full gauntlet on our list. Feels inevitable doesn’t it. 

One of the most important factors to keep in mind is the fitting of the glove and the comfort. At Least for a person like me, I struggle with full gauntlets and these have kept upto expectations. These long gloves are quite comfortable. From me that’s saying a lot. This is an entire leather glove, which is breathable too. Also Leather provides maximum protection.  These gloves could get warm and not very favourable for daily stop and go traffic. A lot of times the glove feels too tight and a well fitting glove kind of restricts the movement of the fingers. This isn’t the case here. There are proper creases at the finger joints for movement.  These long gloves or full gauntlets Can be worn for long rides and especially for trackdays. There is an adjustment at the wrist and then at the forearms too. It’s a 2 step closure for secure fit.  As it is leather, rain would not be advisable.  One thing to remember is the Rynox glove is for people with longer thumbs. 

The Materials and Protection:- 

The upper and inner side of the fingers and palm consists of the same leather. This is a soft full grain leather. Reinforced leather panels for abrasion. On the inner side the leather has a high-grip contoured Amara panel with silicon detailing. The sides are made of a thin leather material holding the chassis together. At the Scaphoid bone there is a  KNOX® patented Sport SPS (Scaphoid Protection System) includes two specially developed sliders attached to the palm to enable the gloves to slide smoothly on contact with the ground, instead of gripping the impact surface and subsequently reducing hyper-extension of the wrist and potential scaphoid injury. The knuckle guards come with overhanging PVC knuckle protectors with HD foam backing. The overhang flexes with your knuckles maximising actuation.  This acts like a soft cushion incase of impact. The protection on the glove is CE certified to standard EN13594:2015. The fingertips have HD foam for comfort and on the outer side has TPU parts at the joints for added protection. The index finger has Tapfingertips material which makes it easy to use the phone. No need to remove the glove. At the wrist there is a velcro strap for adjusting the girth of the wrist. These are one of the most affordable full gauntlets with supreme quality available in the market today. The Leather is breathable so can be used in summers but preferred longer rides.  Since it is breathable it can be used in summers but preferred longer rides.
